Huazheng HZC-4080 Circuit Breaker Tester for HV Timing and Travel Tests

Substation crews do not argue about whether a Circuit Breaker Tester is useful. They argue about how long it takes to wire, and whether the numbers still hold when the bypass bus is live. Huazheng’s HZC-4080circuit breaker tester is a portable circuit breaker analyzer aimed at that job: mechanical characteristic testing on vacuum circuit breakers, SF6 switchgear, GIS combined apparatus and oil breakers, without turning the visit into a two-day setup.

One close or open stroke is enough. The HZC-4080 circuit breaker tester times up to 12 breaks in the same shot — inherent opening and closing time, same-phase synchronism, three-phase discrepancy — then adds reclosing, contact bounce, travel, speed and coil current, with the waveforms on the same screen. Reclosing sequences cover C, O, C-O, O-C and O-C-O, including gold-short time and no-current time. Bounce time, bounce count, rebound amplitude and the bounce trace are usually the first things a technician looks at when a mechanism feels slow.

Travel is not one-size-fits-all. Vacuum breakers use a 50.0 mm span at 0.1 mm resolution; SF6 goes to 300.0 mm at 1 mm; less-oil breakers to 600.0 mm. Error is 1% ± 1 digit. From the time-travel curve the instrument reports total stroke, open distance, overtravel, rebound, just-open and just-close speed, average speed and maximum speed. Speed range is 20.00 m/s at 0.01 m/s resolution. Factory definitions sit in the menu — ABB HPL550B2, LW6, LW8-35, LW33-126, 10 ms before/after separation, 10% of contact gap — or you mark the sampling window on the curve yourself.

Timing range is 20000.0 ms at 0.1 ms. Coil current is measured to 10.00 A / 0.01 A. A built-in DC 0–300 V / 20 A (instantaneous) supply runs the low-voltage action test so the crew is not tapping the station battery. Linear, rotary and universal sensors are in the kit. The set is specified for 500 kV yards with the bypass bus still charged. The host is 360 × 280 × 300 mm, about 9 kg, with a backlit LCD, onboard printer, real-time clock and PC software for the archive. Supply: 220 V ±10%, 50 Hz ±10%. Insulation Resistance >2 MΩ; dielectric 1.5 kV for one minute.
