Huazheng Manufacture HZ5376 6000A Primary Current Injection Test Equipment

A Primary Current Injection Tester is an essential tool for electrical engineers and technicians. It plays a vital role in maintaining the safety and reliability of electrical systems by ensuring that protective devices function correctly under fault conditions.The  HZ5376 High Current Generator (hereinafter referred to as the current booster) is a testing equipment independently developed by our company.

    It integrates the advantages of similar products at home and abroad, employing numerical control technology with strong anti-interference capabilities. Compared with the previous generation of current boosters, it utilizes a low-power, high-capacity variable autotransformer and a current transformer made of high-permeability iron core, resulting in advantages such as large output power, small size, and light weight. It is mainly used for the calibration of thermal relays, motor protectors, contactors, circuit breakers, air switches, switchgear cabinets, protective screens, and for testing projects such as the ratio of primary busbar protection and various current transformers. It is widely used in scientific research, production, and electrical testing sites in power, railway, petrochemical, metallurgical, and mining enterprises.

    I. Overview

    Operational Aspects

    (1) After completing the wiring, check it again to ensure there are no wiring errors and that the connectors are in good contact.

    (2) During the testing process, if abnormal phenomena such as arcing or no display upon startup occur, immediately turn off the power and recheck the wiring.

    (3) In actual wiring, the current output terminals should form a loop; otherwise, the instrument will not output current.

    (4) This current booster comes with random output leads; the external copper output leads should be selected according to 10A/mm². (The standard configuration includes two 1-meter test leads.)

    (5) The equipment's capacity temperature rise (30 minutes - 24 hours) is configured according to the long-term working temperature rise.

The output current is a standard sine wave with minimal burrs, surpassing the requirements of power system standards, and the ripple factor is less than 0.3%.

    (5) Output Current Mode: True RMS continuously adjustable.

    2. Working Principle

    The instrument's measurement circuitry includes one current measurement loop and another (voltage measurement can be added as required). The volt-ampere characteristic function can be extended.

    The current measurement loop comprises a micro-current zero-impedance CT, a programmable amplification circuit, and a sampling circuit.

    The voltage measurement loop includes a PT isolation signal acquisition circuit, a programmable amplification circuit, and a sampling circuit.

    A 16-bit microcontroller employs a computerized digital real-time acquisition method. By measuring the amplitude of the voltage signal, the high-voltage side voltage value can be inferred based on the voltage proportional relationship. The automatic timing function is realized by comparing the measured voltage signal amplitude with the set voltage value. The current output size of the device can be calculated based on the current proportional relationship. Overcurrent protection is achieved by comparing the measured current/voltage signal amplitude with the set value.
